Question 5

How much does a security camera system cost?

Accepted Answer

Every project is different and pricing depends on property size, camera locations, equipment, recording requirements, and installation complexity. As a general guideline, 4-camera packages start around $1,799 and 8-camera packages start around $2,799. A personalized on-site consultation is required for an accurate quote.

Yes. ET Security provides free on-site consultations and estimates throughout our service area. There is no pressure and no obligation.

Question 7

Accepted Answer

ET Security does not currently offer in-house financing. For larger projects, financing options may be available through third-party financing partners. Contact us to discuss available options.

Question 8

What happens during the consultation?

Accepted Answer

We visit your property, discuss your goals, identify important coverage areas, evaluate installation requirements, and design a solution tailored to your needs.

Question 9

How long does installation take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential installations are completed within one day. Larger residential or commercial projects may require additional time depending on project size and complexity.

Question 10

Will I receive training after installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After installation we provide training on live viewing, playback, alerts, mobile apps, and system operation so you feel confident using your system from day one.

Question 11

Can you upgrade or expand my existing camera system?

Accepted Answer

In many cases, yes. If you have an existing NVR-based system, we can often add cameras or upgrade individual cameras to higher-resolution models. We'll evaluate your current setup and let you know what's compatible. If your existing system is outdated or incompatible, we'll recommend a cost-effective upgrade path.

Question 12

How long are recordings stored?

Accepted Answer

Recording time depends on the number of cameras, recording settings, activity levels, and hard drive capacity. As a general guideline, a 4-camera system with a 4TB hard drive typically stores 10–15 days of continuous recording or 15–20 days of motion-based recording. Actual results will vary by installation.

Question 13

Do cameras record continuously or only on motion?

Accepted Answer

Both options are available. We can configure your system for continuous 24/7 recording, motion-triggered recording, or a combination of both. Motion-based recording helps extend storage life and makes it easier to find relevant footage quickly.

Question 14

What should I do if my system stops working?

Accepted Answer

If your system experiences an issue: (1) Verify whether your internet provider or equipment has recently been changed. (2) Ensure all network cables and connections are securely connected. (3) Power down the system for approximately 30 seconds and restart it. If the issue continues, contact ET Security and our team will assist you. Because we document our installations, we can often provide faster and more personalized support.

Question 15

What warranty do you provide?

Accepted Answer

Most equipment includes a manufacturer warranty of up to 3 years, depending on the product. Labor warranty coverage typically ranges from 90 days up to 1 year depending on the project scope and agreement. Contact ET Security for specific warranty details related to your installation.
